Big Moves for CUG: Advancing Community-Led Research for Urban Girls

We’re thrilled to announce a major milestone for the Coalition on Urban Girls (CUG)!

CUG has been awarded the 2024 ARCC Research Capacity Building Seed Grant by Northwestern University’s Alliance for Research with Chicagoland Communities (ARCC)!

This exciting opportunity marks a powerful step forward in our mission to uplift and amplify the voices of urban girls through community-rooted research, innovation, and collaboration.

Receiving this grant not only provides vital support to strengthen our research capacity but also reinforces the importance of youth-driven insight in shaping solutions for equity, empowerment, and systemic change.

At CUG, we believe that those closest to the challenges hold the knowledge to drive transformation. Through this partnership with ARCC, we are deepening our commitment to creating spaces where urban girls lead, learn, and build toward a more just and inclusive future.

Stay tuned—we’ve got big things coming. 💫
